Happy first day of school, NYC! 🍎🥳 While we can’t wait to get our Mobile Labs back to your schools, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all the amazing community events we got to see you at this summer! While school was out of session, we brought science to the streets at 5️⃣0️⃣ block parties, festivals, and community events across New York and New England 🤩

☀️ A few highlights☀️:
🌟 The Boston launch of our new, all-electric Mobile Lab with our friends at Evident Microscopy

🌟 Community block parties with our partners in City and State Government like Speaker Carl E. Heastie, Assemblymember Yudelka Tapia, NYS Assembly Member John Zaccaro Jr , Councilmember Kevin C Riley, Assemblymember Catalina Cruz NY, Council Member Elsie Encarnacion, Majority Leader Shaun Abreu, and Assemblymember Jordan Wright!

🌟 Returning to beloved annual events like City of Water Day, Manhattanville Community Day, and New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Family Days

🌟 Explanding our programs on Long Island at events like the Nikola Tesla Expo and Energy Day at the Long Island Children's Museum thanks to National Grid!

We’re so proud of our Summer 2026 Interns for graduating!! 👏🏼👏🏼

Last week, they had the opportunity to show off their research projects from this summer at Citywide symposium at the American Museum of Natural History hosted by NYC Science Research Mentoring Consortium, as well as a party hosted by BioBus at the Chinese-American Planning Council to show off their work! 🥳🔬 With this being BioBus’ largest cohort of summer interns ever, there was a lot to celebrate 🎉

Congratulations to Kata on completing the Northeastern University Co-Op internship! 🥳🎊 Since January, Kata has provided priceless support to BioBus’ Team Discovery. Among her myriad of accomplishments are completing our pedagogy training 📚, teaching Mobile Lab Programs in Boston and NYC 🚎, and even designing a curriculum and publishing a BioBuzz article about the sand crisis and the construction industry! 🏗️🏝️ We’re so grateful for Kata’s contributions and are wishing her a wonderful summer! ☀️

⚡️🚎 The newest BioBus Mobile Lab has officially launched! 🥳

On March 20, we celebrated the launch of our newest all-electric BioBus Mobile Lab in the Bronx alongside New York State Assembly Majority Speaker Carl Heastie, NYCEDC, Wiz Kids Basketball, and some longtime community and government partners.

We kicked off the event with a press conference featuring talks from BioBus' founder Ben Dubin-Thaler, Speaker Heastie's office, the Office of the NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, Senator Natalia Fernandez, and Assemblymember Landon Dais , and then headed out to the new bus to see the magic of community science in action! 🌱🔬

Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone, and keep an eye out for our new bus at a school near you! 🚎💨👀

🎉🎈🥳 Meet us in the Bronx tomorrow morning for a very special event! Along with NYCEDC and Speaker Heastie, we’ll be celebrating the Bronx Launch of our new Mobile Lab at Wiz Kids Books Before Basketball (3750 Baychester Ave). We’ll kick things off with with a press conference at 10 AM, and starting at 11 AM, the Mobile Lab open to the public in classic BioBus style.

Come climb aboard our new all-electric bus and explore the microscopic world with us! ⚡️🚎🔬
