Cheryl is a founding member of LFU and has remained an enthusiastic champion of the organization since its inception in 1999. For four decades, she’s worked on behalf of the U.S. government, recently retiring as a Senior Appellate Attorney at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC. She’s been steadfast in her support of the work of LFU.
Whether with her family or her Linden friends, Cheryl is such a source of support and care! It was great to celebrate with you at our recent brunch in NY! Happiest of birthdays, to you!

Keith Semple has served as the Vice Chair of LFU and, in that capacity, has been the key liaison of the Board to the organization’s Guyana operations with oversight for the LFU Office in Linden.

Hailed as “A Revolutionary with a Golden Heart,” Guyanese-born Thelma Rowena Liverpool is the cover story in the Most Inspirational Women Personalities of the Year feature in the influential business magazine, The PrimeToday. A former student at Mackenzie High School in Linden, Region 10, Thelma is an inventor and caregiving advocate who’s developed patented devices and care systems designed to make caregiving more comfortable, safe, and efficient for both patients and their caregivers. Thelma was inducted in Marquis Who’s Who, a registry of individuals with notable achievements, for her “patents for innovation in healthcare apparatuses” having developed a patented device to better care for the elderly and bedridden patients.
