🌎🌱 GETTING OUR YOUTH INVOLVED IN PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT! 🌱🌎

What a great start to LFU Guyana Inc.’s 2026 Environmental Stewardship Initiative!

We kicked things off with a Community Day of Service, where young people rolled up their sleeves to clean public spaces and help beautify Linden. From there, our Environmental Workshop Series gave participants an opportunity to learn, ask questions, explore environmental challenges in Region 10, and think about what they can do to make a difference.

A huge THANK YOU to our facilitators, volunteers, contributors, and partners who shared their time, knowledge, resources, and encouragement. Your support helped turn environmental education into an opportunity for action! 🙌🏽

🌱 But this is only the beginning!

LFU will continue this initiative with quarterly environmental workshops for young people in our community, creating ongoing opportunities to learn about issues affecting Region 10, develop practical skills, and take action.

Our goal is simple: raise a generation of young Environmental Stewards who understand that protecting our community is everyone's responsibility.

🌎 Learn. Care. Act. Make a Difference.

🌱 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 AGRICULTURE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS! 🌱

LFU Guyana Inc. congratulates our all-female Agriculture Interns and Seedling House participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to learning. You gained valuable knowledge and practical skills in agriculture—and we encourage you to put them to use! Start small, grow something at home, and share what you've learned. 🌿

A special thank you to the Agriculture & Rural Development, RDC 10 for your partnership and support.

We also extend our appreciation to Ms. Melissa Joseph and Mr. Clive Adams, our dynamic partner-farmers/agribusiness teachers. Your practical lessons and generosity were greatly appreciated, and our interns truly enjoyed the experience!

🌱 Congratulations to all our participants! Keep planting. Keep learning. Keep growing. 🌿

Service Begins With Us 🌍💚

On July 18, 2026, a few dedicated adults and several young people from the Young and Thoughtful Youth Group answered the call to participate in Nelson Mandela Community Day of Service.

Together, they rolled up their sleeves and made a difference in our community:

🌿 Dorfolk Senior Home — weeded and cleaned
🎨 Linden Museum — areas repainted
🧹 I Love Linden Park — cleaned and beautified

Their actions remind us that creating a cleaner, healthier Linden is not someone else’s responsibility—it is ours.

💚

And the work continues! 🌎

📅 Sunday, September 20, 2026, is Global Cleanup Day.

Let’s come together once again, Saturday or Sunday, to clean up and beautify Linden. Every hand helps. Every action matters. Be part of the change!
