On July 4th, join us in taking on the billionaires in the White House to defend our rights and freedoms. -- March with Veterans Against Fascism in !

We are witnessing the descent into fascism before our very eyes. Slashed VA benefits and social services for working people. ICE disappearing beloved family members. Illegal wars which kill thousands abroad. All on our tax-payer dollars.

And as veterans and military family members, we are fighting back.

On July 4th, 2026, will host a national march in Philly against authoritarianism and endless war

Trump's celebrations are an attempt to distract from the daily hardships everyday people are living through. It’s an attempt to flex America’s military might, despite the illegal war on Iran being massively unpopular. We are calling his bluff.

We are mobilizing hundreds of veterans, military families, and all those opposed to fascism to join us in Philadelphia this July 4th. Through our unity and strength, we can take on bought-out politicians and their billionaire backers, defend our communities, and make one message clear: the next 250 years will be nothing like the 250 before it.

This march is organized by Veterans Against Fascism, About Face: Veterans Against the War, Common Defense, 50501 Veterans, Veterans For Peace, Military Families Speak Out, Fayetteville Resistance Coalition and Center on Conscience & War with support from Women's March.

“We, as veterans, are going to keep organizing, and we’re going to come back again and again and again, until our country has a reckoning with our failed legacy of militarism. Until we have that reckoning, we’re gonna keep speaking out, we’re gonna keep organizing.”

The widespread opposition and mobilization against the Iran war offers hope

“Such internal tensions are inevitable in a country awash in military culture, where alternative paths for masculine redemption and meaning are culturally and budgetarily starved. America’s pitch today is not simply that the military is the ultimate proving ground for masculinity but that it is the best place for ameliorating all of men’s problems and desires. Billions are spent annually to fortify this message, which is delivered by military recruiters, fathers, brothers, actors, influencers, Boy Scout troop masters, and self-help gurus.”

“All of this has created a dangerous paradox, in which the American institution endorsed as the remedy for a host of masculine ills is, in fact, the driving force for much male dysfunction. Lost boys in need of mentorship and guidance find themselves instead committed to an institution marked by abuse, sky-high drinking and divorce rates, and other dangerous conditions. Military service today is the top predictor of violent extremism. The Pentagon is also experiencing a raging su***de crisis.”

I talked to troops and cadets about the kind of masculinity the military encourages. Its ripple effects on mental health are dire.

“I do not control what the Navy does,” the woman read from the letter. “I do, however, control whether or not I will re-enlist, and as of right now I cannot and will not afford the Navy the opportunity to potentially tear my family apart again for a year.”

After being diverted for combat with Venezuela and Iran, the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford returned to Norfolk, Va., on Saturday after nearly a year at sea.

What will this war cost us all?

Our flag folding in Washington D.C., represented the lives already lost in the war on Iran on both sides, and the many more to come. Full video of the program, along with rousing speeches by vets and poignant testimonies from military family members, is now on our YouTube channel .

The event was organized by , , , , , and .

We called for House Speaker Mike Johnson to take the folded flag and answer for what he's done. As this happened, Capitol Police arrested nearly 70 of us, including some of our disabled and elderly members, for simply speaking up and calling for an end to this illegal and unjust war.

As veterans, we know from experience that this war, like the ones before it, will only make a handful of companies, billionaires, and politicians rich and devastate the people of Iran, the Middle East, and ultimately, working people here at home. Meanwhile, many of our brothers and sisters overseas will pay the price.

That's why About Face stood up in Washington, D.C., and why we'll continue fighting against these endless wars.

Our veterans, military family members and allies won't let billionaires continue to rob us of our sons and daughters. We can't afford another war!

Trump and Hegseth want to bomb Iran into submission, and send our husbands, wives and children to kill and die doing it. Veterans, military family members and allies are saying NO.

Jessica Serrato, the fiancée of a currently deployed active-duty servicemember, was one of the 130+ who called upon Congress to bring troops home and end the Iran War on April 20. She stressed the terrible conditions U.S. troops are living in, and the fear and confusion around their mission.

Active military members have been increasingly looking for options to become conscientious objectors or to otherwise leave the military, according to a recent NPR report.

"Cost of living, costing lives, we say no more war crimes!" -- was the chant resonating through the rotunda of the Cannon Rotunda. When nearly 70 people from About Face, Military Families Speak Out, and other national organizations were arrested during the event, they continued the chant even as they were cuffed and led outside.

Active military members must refuse illegal orders. If you are a service member concerned about potentially unethical and immoral actions, you have options. For more information, fill out our secure jotform in bio.

This May Day, we joined We Count and dozens of organization in the first-ever March for Planting Justice! We’re in Coral Gables to call on multi-billion dollar corporations and major growers to guarantee fair wages and safe working conditions for Florida's plant nursery workers.

Across Miami: labor unions, community organizations, faith leaders, and students are joining forces to hold these corporations accountable. We're showing up for our agricultural workers, because all workers in our city deserve to live and work with dignity.

El pueblo unido, jamás será vencido.

Last week we showed up in DC with veterans from all backgrounds and conflicts and family members of folks currently deployed and enlisted to speak out against the war in Iran.

Met with orders of dispersement and zip ties our people stood firm on their right to free speech on ending this illegal war. As people who have served and know the realities of American war, we are still haunted by the lies they told us and do not want it to continue.

American tax dollars should go to the American people. They are cutting social programs and veterans services while spending a billion a day overseas. This is a war of choice for the ruling class and not for the people of America.

If you are a veteran and want to fight back against sending our children to fight another pointless war while politicians kids stay safe at home join our monthly meeting and follow the page for more info.

If you are a civilian who would like to support veterans in these actions you can donate through our website AboutFaceVeterans.org (link in bio) and support grassroot veteran organizing and make sure everyone who fought for the country gets their voice heard.

Thanks to our many partner organizations and volunteers, this is just the beginning
