In operation for over sixty summers, Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp
in Queens, NY couples rich tradition with constant innovation. During our four to eight week programs, campers participate in many activities, including swim in our large indoor pool, exciting off-campus trips, weekly cookouts, athletics, arts and crafts, music, Jewish culture, pool and ping pong in our game room, gymnastics, Color War, and more!

We apologize for any misunderstanding - Hillcrest Jewish Center is not closing. The building is being sold. The congregation will be leasing back the space it needs and we intend to be here as Hillcrest Jewish Center for a long time to come. Because of the sale and leaseback, the camp will no longer be operating.

Dear Parents, Campers, and Staff,

Due to the pending sale of the Hillcrest Jewish Center's building, it has been decided not to conduct the Day Camp for this coming summer, 2025. I wanted to let you all know of the sad news ASAP, so you would have ample time to find another option for your campers as well as summer employment for the staff.

I'm not going to make this long; I just wanted to thank all the families and staff that I've gotten to know for the past thirty years and for trusting HJC Day Camp to be the place you chose to play and work.

It feels like camp only started yesterday, but the last bus has now pulled away, bringing Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp 2024 to a close! Thank you to all of our campers and staff for making this summer amazing! We hope to see you all again in ten short months for Hillcrest 2025!
