About Us

Cancer Hates Laughter was born from the belief that how we spend our remaining time on this beautiful planet matters. The words “Cancer Hates Laughter” were shared with me from a close friend and I shared them with my dad, Bob Wilkinson. These words succinctly expressed how he lived his life - do what makes YOU happy, embrace joyous moments and laugh your ass off every chance you get.

This picture is from March 2014 at a Jim Gaffigan comedy show in Denver, Colorado. I’m the gal in the middle, my name is Gemma, and this was eight days after my bilateral mastectomy. Two of my closest friends, Stacy Forget (right) and Becky Kagan (left) were right by my side on this hysterical night.

Our mission at Cancer Hates Laughter is to those experiencing cancer with their funny bone.
