I extend my warm blessings and wishes to the children of Oya on this (one of) her feast days.
Oya will continue to cement the impact of Orisha in my life and be the forever influence of my grandmother (Ibae) and faith in my life.

May her winds bring favorable change and endless Iré!

The Spirit of the River who is full of undersanding.
Spirit who knows the Mysteries and does not reveal them.

Today we celebrate you…
Today I celebrate how with a single needle you thread to your own accord sealing the fabric of one’s destiny.

Espíritu del río que está llena de comprensión.
Espíritu que conoce los Misterios y no los revela.

Hoy te celebramos ...
Hoy Yo celebro cómo con una sola aguja enhebras a tu propia voluntad, sellando la tela del destino.

It was cast,
A stone to the River for the forward bound current to direct.
When the River sounds - it’s the stones that she brings forth.
You can catch me singing in the folds of her flow,
You can see me dancing in the whirlpools of her streams,
You can feel my passion in the rapid of her waves and falls…

Along with a very distinct awakening the now (as of today) 12 year path with Osun has manifested in my destiny, is a deep understanding of my life time journey to see out her Ase in this consciousness.

12 years of crowning/initiation into the “Awo Osun” has brought victory over sorrows and prized joys. It continues to evolve the Asè of being an Elegun of Osun, the responsibility Family and Ile, the spiritually infused ventures and creativity, reflection and understanding, struggles and continued growth, chaos and peace.

May year 12 solidify the positivity year 11 worked for. May year 12 be cradled in the mystery of Joy.

May Osun’s blessing forever accompany My Mother, My Father, My Grandparents, My Children, My Brothers, My Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,
My Madrina, My Oyubona, My Oba, My Padrino-Oyubona de Pinaldo, My Godchildren, My Partner and all those who have settled into my heart and have allowed me space in theirs. To my family of Blood and Stone.

I salute you
The one who owns this day.
Orisa Alagua Lagua whom we celebrate in presentation of his young face.
I give praise to the one who allows his children to live in a town with no walls,
Eshu-Eleggua, you are the wall!
You are my fortress, my road, bring me please to my highest destiny.
With your Ogo - split the fabric and allow me to cross through to the spiritual and material wealth that await me.
Oro Esu Oooo!!!
Ago Baba!

She is the one who arrives unannounced to the Castle grounds and is given entry!
Call her Iyoba - the Queen mother,

With her she brings renewal. She brings life.

They call her Ayaba,
I call her Mother.
I am of your Fish.
It is in your current I find my course.

With her she brings power and instills fear.
They call her Tsunami and she whirls the wave.

Moyuba Yemoja
One revered as Okoto,
who dances the Ada and paints the water red.

Mother please look to me with Omi Tuto.

Mother, you who know the fever of battle and the secret of painting the sea red,

Please look to me through Omi Tuto.

Mojuba Yemoja
It was to Okere,
It was in the land of Saki where you stated your Ewo
And it is there where you will always remain
Ayaba!

Omi O!

One revered as Okoto,
who dances the Ada and paints the water red,

Mother please look to me with Omi Tuto.

Hail my mother
One who is called Oniola for she makes me worthy of wealth.

I pay foribale
To the one who wears the crown made bone of Eja Saki,
It is to you whom I bring my head to the ground and pay reverence,

Omi O Yemaya!

And when I awoke,
Did I realize I had always been...

I always had...

I went collecting experience and now I am adorned in
Ileke
and
Iye Akodide.

I had been walking, following the beacon.
I honor having walked into myself.

I was what I had sought out!

It was the shine of my own Ade of which I had been following all these years...
