🎶 **MUSIC MONDAY** 🎶

From the NYFOS Archives, we’re revisiting a captivating performance from Amor, featuring pianist and Artistic Director Steven Blier and the elegant Lucia Bradford in this heartfelt rendition.

“Walk my way, and a thousand violins begin to play...”💫

Bradford’s warmth and sophistication, paired with Blier’s exquisite artistry at the piano, bring fresh intimacy and charm to this timeless classic.

A beautiful reminder that great songs never lose their magic. ❤️🎵

THE PERFECT ENDING | As our season comes to an end, we celebrated new music is a conversation and last week’s NYFOS Next was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when composers and performers create together. ✨

Our latest collaboration with the Luna Composition Lab celebrated its 10th anniversary with the world premieres of new works by composers Alicia Erlandson, Elisa Johnson, and Devon Lee, written in close collaboration with soprano Jennifer Zetlan and mezzo-soprano Heather Johnson and brought to life with pianist and curator Nathaniel LaNasa. The program also featured music by members of Luna Lab’s remarkable community of composer-mentors.

Thank you to the artists, collaborators, and audience members who made this afternoon of creativity, connection, and discovery so memorable. Swipe through for a few moments from a concert that celebrated the future of song and the power of artistic collaboration. 🎶

NYFOS NEXT | Some songs stay with you long after the concert ends.

On June 1, we return to one of those unforgettable moments with a reprise of Nkeiru Okoye’s *28 Bathers* at *Same River Twice*.

Originally performed during our 2023 program “Lost in Translation”, this striking work returns.

“Same River Twice” explores memory, return, and transformation: how music changes when we encounter it again, and how we change with it.

Join for an evening of rediscovery, reflection, and songs that continue to resonate.
