This edition of PEPtalk, we explore behind the scenes of the HOPE count. The HOPE count is an annual, volunteer-driven survey of New Yorkers living without shelter. DC 37 member coordinators and volunteers work together, speaking with the houseless to record the yearly city-wide count. The results of the count influence the allocation of resources used to end homelessness. To read more about DC 37 members and the 2026 HOPE count, head to bit.ly/4y2Omsw.
