We took a field trip to the Sims Recycling Solutions Education Center in Sunset Park over the summer and it was amazing! We learned a lot, and really enjoyed the catwalk that looks out over the incredible interwoven conveyors, belts, sorting stations, and collection areas. What a treat! Can't wait to pay another visit.

To help New Yorkers understand the recycling process, Sims constructed a Recycling Education Center at their new materials recovery facility in Sunset Park.

Sustainability-In-Action:
Goat Milk provides 100% organic cotton basics for babies and children. They also use and decorate their space with reclaimed furniture. Goat Milk uses power strips and turns off all lighting when their space is not occupied. Furthermore, they compost their food scraps at the community garden across the street from the shop. Lastly, Goat Milk recycles paper, plastic, and glass.

Sustainability Goals:
Goat Milk aims to introduce indoor plants to their space to increase air quality and aesthetics. They will also be inquiring about renewable energy via Green Mountain.
