TONEWALL is the super-charismatic, award-winning q***r a ca****la band of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus Bust loose and live your truth!

TONEWALL is the super-charismatic, award-winning q***r a ca****la band of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus. “We live for the applause of a worthy cause," volunteering our time to entertain audiences with uplifting anthems, classic tunes and sexy hits from today’s artists while promoting diversity, LGBTQ inclusion, and social equality. TNWL went live in February of 2016 and since then we've been busy with appearances in stadiums, theaters, and venues all around our home in NYC. We love it when fans—our ‘Toners’—get in on the action. xoxo ***raca****la

Today we’re celebrating the person who started it all: 🎉🎂🥳

Ten years ago, TONEWALL existed only as a dream. Through vision, passion, persistence, and an unbelievable amount of hard work, Timorell turned that dream into the incredible community, musical family, and artistic force that it is today.

As our founder and director, Timorell has shaped not only the sound of TONEWALL—writing and arranging the majority of the music we perform—but also the culture of the group itself. His talent as a musician is extraordinary, but it’s his generosity as a mentor, leader, and friend that has made such a lasting impact on all of us.

For a decade, he has challenged us to grow, inspired us to be better performers, and created a space where so many of us have found connection, confidence, and joy.

Please join us in wishing Timorell a very happy birthday and thanking him for ten amazing years of TONEWALL. We wouldn’t be here without him. 🖤🩶🤍

For the third year in a row, we were honored to bring Pride to the Whitney. 🌈✨

There’s something special about filling the galleries with music, surprising museum-goers with song, and celebrating the power of q***r joy in a space dedicated to art and expression.

Thank you for having us back—we’re always happy to make a little noise in the galleries. 🎶
