LIRR trains suspended today on the Oyster Bay line, 9:45 to 3pm

The LIRR is not running to or from Glen Head this weekend (Friday night thru Sunday, entire Oyster Bay line). Limited buses will be provided to Jamaica. The service interruptions are necessary to upgrade signals.

Other lines are also affected. Check the status before you travel. Port Washington line is NOT impacted.

Thank you to all the community members who attended yesterday’s meetings regarding the Propel Project, a proposal to install high voltage cables in our neighborhoods (Glen Cove Rd, Route 107, Glen Cove Ave., Glen head Road, Glenwood Road, Shore Road, etc). Our community sent a clear message that we oppose this project. Please continue to advocate for the revocation of this expensive and detrimental project.

ROADWORK ALERT - Starting on Friday Nov. 22, crews will be returning to Glenwood Road just to the north of the intersection of Glenwood Road & Bryant Avenue in the Village of Roslyn Harbor. DPW estimates work will take approximately one to two weeks, and they will be utilizing Detour #1, as outlined on the map below. Please plan your commutes accordingly, and thank you for your continued patience as these improvements are completed.

LIRR Oyster Bay Branch, effective September 3rd:

The 7:17 a.m. weekday train from Oyster Bay will be extended to Penn Station. Customers can change at Jamaica for service to Hunterspoint Avenue, Grand Central or Atlantic Terminal.
