We’re just one month away from celebrating PWU’s 107th Anniversary and the 93rd Grand Alumni Homecoming: FLOWER POWER: A PWU 70’s Retro Celebration on February 15, 2026, 5:00 PM at the Manila Hotel.

This festive gathering will unite alumni from PWU Manila and Q.C., PWU-JMD, PWC of Davao & Iloilo, JASMS Manila and Q.C., and Bayanihan, The National Dance Company of the Philippines.

Congratulations, Klariz Laurelle Magboo (DJ Kara)!

We proudly celebrate the success of Klariz Laurelle Magboo, alumna of Philippine Women's University Bachelor of Arts Major in Communication Arts, Class of 2011, who is widely known as DJ Kara a multi awarded DJ, entertainer, voice actress, and online content creator.

At the Thailand International Leadership Awards 2025, she was honored as the Most Trusted Female Radio & DJ of the Year a recognition of her inspiring journey and dedication to her craft.

Beyond radio, DJ Kara has captivated millions through her vibrant presence on social media, her dubbing work for beloved characters like Ash Ketchum (Pokémon) and Buttercup (Powerpuff Girls Z), and her engaging performances on stage and online.

Klariz, your voice and talent continue to uplift audiences across the Philippines and beyond. We are proud to call you one of our own!

In Loving Memory

The Philippine Women’s University Community extends its deepest condolences to the family of MRS. ESPERANZA de ALBAN STA. CRUZ, alumna of BSE Major in Tagalog, Minor in Library Science (1953), Master of Arts in Education (1971) and former PWU Librarian.

Her dedication as an educator and librarian left a lasting legacy in the halls of PWU. She will be remembered with gratitude, respect, and love by the community she served so faithfully.

This December 13, 2025, join JOYFUL HEARTS (PWU Alumni and Friends), in cooperation with PWU UNICORP and the PWU Alumni Relations & Development Office in celebrating the 5th year of Maligayang Noche Buena, a tradition that brings warmth, cheer, and hope to PWU partner communities.

With your generosity, we have already touched the lives of 1,343 families from the urban poor sector laborers, vendors, helpers, drivers, clerks, and community volunteers, including children, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
