☀️ With summer here, we’d like to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to our members, donors, volunteers, local teams, partner organizations, and everyone who follows and supports the work of Green Pedal.

Every garden that grows, every tree planted, every mangrove restored, and every child who continues their education is also the result of your commitment. 💚

We wish you a summer full of good moments, rest, and renewed energy. We’ll keep creating opportunities alongside communities in Mozambique. 🌱

Happy summer!

🌊 Did you know that many marine species spend the early stages of their lives among mangrove roots?

Their roots provide a natural refuge where fish, crustaceans, and other species find food and protection from predators.

That’s why conserving and restoring mangroves also means protecting biodiversity, fisheries, and the livelihoods of coastal communities🌱🐟

At Green Pedal, we work alongside communities in Inhambane Bay to restore these essential ecosystems💚

In addition, Lucas Manuel Mabambe has harvested 20 kg of cabbage for sale, a result that reflects the hard work of farming families and the progress of local production. 🥬💚

🌱 Every change begins with an opportunity.

An opportunity to grow food throughout the year, continue studying, restore a forest, or protect essential ecosystems such as mangroves.

At Azada Verde, we work alongside local communities to turn these opportunities into long-lasting, sustainable projects that improve the lives of many people.

Thank you to everyone who walks this path with us and makes it possible for us to keep cultivating a better future💚

🥬🌱 Every harvest is the result of hard work, training, and community collaboration.

Today, we joined Mrs. Elisa Mugadui during the cabbage harvest at the Mangunde Farmers' Association in Mozambique. From her plots, 27 kg of cabbages were harvested—produce that will help feed her family while also generating additional income.

Behind these 27 kilograms lies much more than a harvest. There is access to water through solar-powered irrigation, training in sustainable agriculture, ongoing technical support, and the commitment of a community working together to build a more resilient future.

💚 Thank you to everyone who makes projects like this possible and helps transform lives.

🎉💚 A New Success Story Thanks to the Guillem Sardà Palomera Scholarship

Today, we are delighted to celebrate an incredible achievement that fills us with hope.

Our scholarship recipient, Arminda, has successfully completed her General Nursing studies, passing her final practical examinations at Sussundenga Hospital and finishing her training with outstanding dedication and commitment.

This achievement was made possible thanks to the Guillem Sardà Palomera Scholarship, a program created by Azada Verde to help talented young people from rural communities in Mozambique access higher education and break the cycle of poverty through education.

With Arminda's graduation, two students from the Escolas de Paz program have now completed higher education, proving that when opportunities exist, talent can flourish anywhere.

Every scholarship does far more than transform the life of a single student. It strengthens entire communities, creates new role models for children, and helps ensure that skilled professionals return to improve the future of their own communities.

💚 Thank you to everyone who supports the Guillem Sardà Palomera Scholarship and makes it possible for young people like Arminda to turn their dreams into reality.

Together, we continue planting opportunities so that more and more children from Escolas de Paz can build a brighter future🌱

🌱🌾 We continue to strengthen sustainable agriculture in Mozambique.

In the community of Begaja Estaquinha, we recently held another practical training session on conservation agriculture and seed production—a key step towards helping farming families produce more food sustainably while increasing their self-reliance.

During the training, participants learned and practiced techniques such as:
🌿 Minimum soil disturbance for land preparation.
💧 Efficient irrigation methods.
🍅 Transplanting tomatoes, lettuce, eggplants, peppers, and cabbage.
🍂 Applying mulch to retain soil moisture.
🐔 Preparing organic biofertilizers using chicken manure.
🌱 Producing natural biopesticides from neem leaves, castor leaves, garlic, and piri-piri peppers.

We also established a seed production plot that will provide locally adapted seed varieties, reduce dependence on external inputs, and strengthen food security for the community.

Every training session is another step towards building a more resilient, environmentally friendly agricultural system that improves the lives of hundreds of rural families.

💚 Thank you to everyone and every organization that makes this work possible.

🥬🌱 Every harvest is the result of dedication, training, and community effort.

Today we joined Mrs. Elisa Mugadui as she harvested cabbages at the Mangunde Farmers' Association in Mozambique. From her plots, 27 kg of cabbages were harvested—produce that will help feed her family while also generating additional income.

Behind these 27 kilograms lies much more than a harvest. They represent access to water through solar-powered irrigation, training in sustainable agriculture, ongoing technical support, and the commitment of a community working together to build a more resilient future.

💚 Today, we want to speak to you with complete honesty.

Over the past few months, we've been facing a difficult situation. Cuts to public funding and a decline in donations are putting at risk the continuity of projects that are transforming the lives of hundreds of families in Mozambique.

Meanwhile, the needs haven't disappeared.

Every week, we continue supporting farmers who are battling drought, helping children stay in school, restoring ecosystems, and working hand in hand with local communities to build a more dignified and sustainable future.

We don't want to lose everything we've achieved together.

That's why today we're asking you to be part of this story. If you already support Azada Verde, thank you for making this work possible. If you don't yet, even a small monthly donation can make a huge difference when combined with the support of many others.

It's not just about making a donation. It's about keeping projects alive that create opportunities, protect the environment, and stand alongside those who need it most💚

🌱 If you can, join Azada Verde today. Share this message or help us reach more people. Every act of kindness counts.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. 💚

🥬🌱 This image shows the excellent growth and development of cabbage crops at the Mangunde Farmers' Association in Mozambique.

Thanks to technical support, sustainable agriculture training, and access to solar-powered irrigation systems, families are able to produce high-quality food throughout the year, strengthening their food security while creating new sources of income.

Every harvest represents much more than food—it represents independence, resilience, and a future with greater opportunities for rural communities. 💚

Thank you for making this possible.
