Stand Up Girls NYC Inspiring & uplifting teenage girls in underserved communities through Stand Up Comedy! ! Stand Up!

Girls is a nonprofit organization whose core mission is to educate, inspire and equip girls from underserved communities with the communication skills necessary to succeed in and lead male-dominated workplaces. Through developing and performing stand-up comedy, our girls learn to own the room – be it a courtroom, operating room or boardroom.

We’re thrilled to announce that Stand Up! Girls is partnering with Brooklyn Public Library to bring comedy & storytelling classes to teen girls this November!

📍 Brighton Beach & Flatbush Libraries

Through stand-up comedy, storytelling, & creative expression, we’re helping the next generation of girls build confidence, discover the power of their perspectives, & learn what happens when they take up space and use their voices.

Because every girl has something worth saying. And we want to hand her the mic. 🎤

We’re giving the next gen of funny girls a place to get loud, get creative, take risks, & find their voice!!

Through comedy classes + workshops, teen girls will learn the basics of joke writing, build confidence and stage presence, develop their unique comedic voice, AND connect with a community that’s ready to laugh with them 🫂

Because comedy isn’t just about being funny. It’s about discovering that what you have to say is worth hearing. 🧡
