Wanting a relationship is a wonderful desire — AND getting what you want doesn’t always come to you the way you thought it would.

As the creator and host of Single Saturdays, I’m on my own path to partnership and each item on this list is something I’ve sat with, looked at, and moved through.

1️⃣. Stop focusing so much on finding “the one.” Start becoming the one. Take care of yourself and do things that fill you up.

2️⃣. Your dating pattern isn’t bad luck. It’s a pattern. Look at who you keep choosing — and why. Unlocking your habits will lead to new possibilities.

3️⃣. The person who’s right for you might not be your usual type. Stop screening people out on paper or because of looks.

4️⃣. If you want to have a relationship with someone of the opposite s*x, you need to heal your relationship with the opposite s*x.

5️⃣. Being alone and being lonely aren’t the same thing. Get clear on the differences and how they feel.

6️⃣. Say yes to the things that light you up. Even better if you’re doing them alone. A full life, designed by you, is more magnetic than a perfect profile.

7️⃣. Relationships take work, and it starts with you. Let go of the limiting beliefs and old wounds, so you can say yes to someone who might’ve seemed boring to a past version of you.
