Ghana's Department of Social Welfare and local NGO (non-governental organizations)s believe there are over 21,000 children living and working on the streets of Accra, nationwide there could over 50,000
Over twenty five million children in Africa do not attend school
due to poverty.
* CIRCLE OF SISTERS: Provides Mentoring, educationa
l assistance, meals and emotional support to girls. The group provides students with books, reading comprehension tutoring, monthly book club, field trips, literacy classes and career guidance seminars. We empower girls through education and the development of leadership skills.
* MILOYI PROJECT: Provides a means for generous residents of The United States to directly impact the lives of girls and mothers in Africa by donating their children’s used clothing to another child who is in need.
* HAND UP PROJECT: Provides girls and young women with donated backpacks containing calculators Pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, folders and other supplies required to attend school. Students are also provided financial assistance to help meet school expenses for books, fee’s, uniforms and meals.
* GLOBAL VILLAGE PROJECT: Partners with volunteers holding advanced degrees from the international community to assist in literacy and computer training for girls. FUTURE REVOLUTIONARY UNDERGROUND PROJECTS

* THE GHANA GIRLS LEARNING HUB The mission of The Learning Hub is to provide access to literature, literacy classes, mentoring and computer training to disenfranchised girls and young women within Ghana’s capital of Accra. The center will also serve as a community space where parents, teachers, mentors and volunteers can create and implement innovative policies and programs affecting positive change for Ghana’s girls.
