"Flamernoter, I choose you!" Master English-Yiddish translator Arun Schaechter Viswanath led a workshop on translating the names of Pokemon into Yiddish. Participants learned how to research English etymologies of Pokemon names, search Yiddish dictionaries and books for the names of animals and attacks, and then split into groups to devise their own Pokemon names.
