Ecstatic to announce that AJ Kellie will be presenting a curated pop-up art gallery at Moon Jam - Jan 16th!

AJ is Creative Director for her own brand, Canvas and Cocktails NYC. She also have partnered up with equally successful creatives, Scholarich Music Group (Art Curator), The Art Hub NYC (Curator and Book keeper), Biscuits’ and Bubbly (Host and Events Assistant).

AJ's goal in the creative world is to infuse all levels of Art and Creative expression, including all but not limited to Culinary, Beverage, Fine Art &Performance. Bringing them all together in it’s raw form to reveal how each category compliments the next as well the people’s perception of the art on display. In these events we focus on networking, guest satisfaction, as well as art of a connection.

A lot of your key relationships probably happened at an event like these, so we conduct Artists group talks, one on one, as well as peer feed back, these scenarios can teach a lot about past experiences and what the future has to bring! AJ Kellie, brings people together by combining the crafts, old fashioned communication, with no limit to creativity, atmosphere, and time to master the skill at hand is the brand we are building.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, Moonshot Theatre will be donating a portion of proceeds from Moon Jam - Jan 16th to The King Center tomorrow.

The King Library and Archives in Atlanta is the largest repository of primary source materials on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the American Civil Rights Movement in the world. The collection consists of the papers of Dr. King and those of the organization he co-founded, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, as well as the records of 8 major civil rights organizations and of several individuals active in the Movement. The archives also include more than 200 oral history interviews with Dr. King’s teachers, friends, family and civil rights associates.

Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (“The King Center”) has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over a quarter century.The King Center is a 501(c)3. Nearly a million people each year make pilgrimage to the National Historic Site to learn, be inspired and pay their respects to Dr. King’s legacy.

Both a traditional memorial and programmatic nonprofit, the King Center was envisioned by its founder to be “no dead monument, but a living memorial filled with all the vitality that was his, a center of human endeavor, committed to the causes for which he lived and died.” That vision was carried out through educational and community programs until Mrs. King’s retirement in the mid-1990’s, and today it’s being revitalized.

Through such efforts, the King Center can rise to its true potential as a beacon of hope and progress, to a world that still desperately needs Dr. King’s voice and message.

Tyler Wallach is an innovative and independent q***r artist living in Harlem, recognized for his bright and boldly colored street-art characters on both canvas and clothing.

Tyler comes to New York City, from Texas, with 5 years of experience painting and independently producing large-scale solo art shows, a multi-faceted clothing line, and most recently, a capsule collection of 3D printed nylon and precious metal necklaces.

Tyler has also adopted a unique form of interactive art by painting live, in-person at events throughout the country to further engage the conversation between visual artists and their audience. This live-painting style led Tyler to win the 2015 Brooklyn Nightlife Award for “Best Visual Artist”.

Compassion and care for the LGBTQ community is a driving force of inspiration and has led Tyler to produce many multiple large-scale paintings a year that are donated and auctioned off by national LGBTQ charities with 100% of proceeds going toward at risk youth and anti-bullying efforts. In the past, Tyler has donated to The Trevor Project, The Tyler Clementi Foundation, The Miami-Dade LGBTQ Business Association, Harrisburg PA LGBT Center as well as many other q***r organizations throughout the country.
