Food Rescue Hero is thrilled to announce that ResQ2Feed Oneida County has joined the Food Rescue Hero Network!

Now, residents in the Oneida County, NY region can use the Food Rescue Hero app or visit resq2feed.org to join the mission of rescuing food and fighting hunger in their community.

📢 The Countdown is Over!
Oneida County Food Coalition’s initiative, ResQ2Feed Oneida County is officially launching its Food Rescue & Recovery Program on Tuesday, September 2—right in time for Hunger Action Month! 🧡🥫
This community-powered movement during its soft launch period (April to August) has:
✅ Completed 490 food rescues
✅ Saved 66,000 pounds of food from going to waste
✅ Provided over 55,000 meals to neighbors in need
✅ Built a network of 60 dedicated volunteers
✅ Partners with 28 local nonprofits serving our community
💪 Together, we’re turning surplus food into hope, meals, and impact for families across Oneida County.

Great news from the Oneida County Public Market today! 🎉

Our ResQ2Feed Oneida County booth was busy connecting with our community and spreading the word about our mission: Fighting Hunger | Reducing Waste | Strengthening Our Community.

We're thrilled to announce that a dozen new Rescue Heroes signed up on the spot to be part of our volunteer network! Thank you to everyone who stepped forward to help us rescue good food from going to waste and redirecting it to those in need.

We also made valuable connections with potential food rescue donors and developed exciting new relationships, including a promising partnership with the MVCC sustainability team to implement food rescue initiatives at the college.
