FOSTER NEEDED!!

This sweet baby is officially heading our way.

She is just 6.5 weeks old and recently had corrective surgery for a mild re**al prolapse. She’s on the mend, but now she really needs a quiet, safe foster home where she can heal up and learn how to just be a normal puppy.

PMAR covers all veterinary care and medical needs—we just need someone willing to open up a safe space for her. If you’re able to foster this little girl, send us a direct message if you have a question or just fill out an application directly on our website through the link on our bio.

Please share this around so we can get her into a home where she can rest and recover.

This boy joined PMAR because a foster stepped up.

He was saved from ever having to sit in a shelter kennel through diverted placement. He was being surrendered in Manhattan, and the shelter actually worked with us to transport him up our way so he wouldn't have to enter the facility at all. Everyone, meet Tank, who officially made it into rescue because someone raised their hand to foster him.

We can only take in what we have open homes for. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, please take five minutes to fill out an application on our website at www.pmarinc.org. We handle the vetting and provide support, but without people willing to open their doors, dogs like Tank run out of options fast.

If you’ve been looking for a dog that is past the wild puppy nonsense and ready to just be your built-in best friend, you need to meet Piper.

At 6 years old, Piper is truly in her prime. She’s house-trained, knows the ropes, and skipped the phase of chewing up shoes years ago—she’s completely locked in on the lounging and cuddling life. She’s currently living in a foster home in Binghamton, NY, showing off her hilarious signature gremlin face and loving every minute of being around people.

Piper is great with kids - she’s gentle, friendly, and great with children of all ages. While Piper is totally cat approved and respectful of her feline roomies, she needs to be the one and only dog, so no other dogs for her!

Piper is healthy, fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and ready to move right in. If you want a sweet, loyal shadow who will keep you laughing and warm your couch, message us directly or apply through PMAR. Please give her post a share so her forever family can finally find her!

SHE HAD NOWHERE SAFE TO GO, AND WE JUST COULDN'T SAY NO 💔

We weren't planning to rescue another dog, especially another pregnant mama. Our homes, hearts, and resources are already stretched thin.

But then we saw her face 🥹

Just one day after rescuing Mama Banana, another urgent plea came from NYC ACC. A beautiful, heavily pregnant girl needed somewhere safe to go.

Our first reaction? NO! Where would we even put her?! 😩

But we kept looking at her picture.

How could we turn our backs on her?

So we rearranged everything, made room for one more, and said YES.

Please welcome Mama Bryanna to PMAR! 💙🐾

Taking in pregnant dogs is never easy, especially after experiencing heartbreaking complications in the past. But Bryanna deserves a safe place to welcome her babies.

🙏 NOW WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!

Between Mama Banana and her six Fruit Cup babies, Mama Bryanna and her upcoming arrivals, and our 13 longtime rescue dogs still waiting for homes, the expenses are adding up FAST.

Food, supplies, vaccines, spays, neuters, and veterinary care. Every life we save comes with a financial responsibility.

💙 PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING! Every dollar makes a difference, and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

🐾 Amazon and Chewy wishlists: Much-needed supplies for our rescue families.

🐾 Can't donate? PLEASE SHARE! Your share could reach someone who can help.

📌 Donation and wishlist links are in the comments!

And yes, we have MORE rescue announcements coming! Apparently, Saleena has officially lost her mind! 🤦‍♀️😂 Please keep her sanity in your prayers!

Please help us continue being their YES when the rest of the world has said NO 💙🐾

Thank you for always standing beside us!

Max honestly breaks my heart. He was originally adopted as an 8-month-old pup, but 2.5 years ago he came back into rescue when his owner had to move into assisted living and couldn't bring him along. That means he has now spent over 1,000 days waiting for a home of his own.

At 8.5 years old, this sweet senior boy just wants a soft couch to spend his retirement years on. He’s completely out of the wild puppy stage and is all about the low-drama couch potato lifestyle. He is fantastic with people of all ages and sizes, masters his basic commands, and loves to please.

Max's home checklist is pretty simple:

Dog friends: Fine with dogs his own size or larger (45+ lbs).
No small pets: He needs a home without cats or small dogs.
Outside time: He’s not a huge fan of leash walks and would love a secure, fenced yard where he can sunbathe and do his goofy zoomies in peace.

Max is currently in Binghamton, NY and is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and completely ready to meet his family. If you’ve been looking for an easygoing, loyal best friend, please message us directly or apply at PMAR. Even if you can’t adopt, kindly share his story—it only takes one right person to see this and give Max the retirement home he desperately deserves.
