Here is up to the minute information for TOAST:
Firstly, we've set up a website for searching for restaurants that offer gift cards for purchase. https://rallyforrestaurants.com/ The premise being that gift cards can act as micro-loans during this period, and can help the small business stay afloat. Any restaurant that offers gift cards can sign up on this site, and there's a social component to it as well (a prompt to share this on social media when you buy gift cards for local businesses). Toast is also offering 3 free months access to its e-gift card product for its customers as well (customers would have received an email about it).
Keep up to date with Toast in the coming week for an initiative to help non-toast customers get access to Toast's digital ordering platform.
We're about to announce "Toast Now", which allows non-Toast POS customers to sign up to use a light-weight web based version of Toast to allow them to start accepting digital orders (through Toast online ordering, third party delivery platforms, or the Toast Takeout mobile app). This would require no new additional hardware from Toast, they'll just need a device with a web browser to view incoming orders. We've just got a first set of customers on-board to test it out. With the shift from on-premise dining to take out and delivery, many locations are struggling to get set up for digital ordering, and we're hoping to help those customers introduce this new stream of sales during this period. Please check in at https://pos.toasttab.com/ for updates on release.
Feel free to pass this around to local businesses, hope that they're able to get through this to the other side.
Thanks, and good luck,
Adam Dziki
