We’re so grateful to Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA) for bringing us together for a meet & greet with Dr. Helen Arteaga-Landaverde, Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services.

It’s always powerful to be in spaces where collaboration and community impact are front and center.✨

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have raised over $400,000 toward our goal to begin construction on a new play yard! We are now working to secure the remaining $250,000 needed to begin building the basketball court and outdoor movie screen for youth to enjoy. 🏀🌳

This isn’t just about playground equipment. It’s about giving youth a safe, healing and joyful environment where they can get outside, participate in outdoor learning, play sports and spend quality time together.

You can make a difference in the lives of the youth who reside at St. John’s Residence for Boys by donating to bring this transformative space to life!❤️

Creativity. Connection. Good vibes 🎨✨
Our Chill, Paint & Vibe event gave youth a chance to unwind, express themselves, and connect with their peers in a supportive space with music and refreshments.
Moments like these remind us how important it is to make room for self-expression and community.
Swipe to check out the incredible artwork from both youth and staff across our programs!

Z, a close-to-home youth at St. John's, is making his voice heard.🎤 Z was selected as one of three finalists in Day One's Teen Dating Violence Awareness Art and Writing Competition, earning the opportunity to perform an original piece he wrote for the occasion.

On February 18th, Z took the stage at 5C Cultural Center in Manhattan during their Open Mic Night, sharing his work with an audience gathered in recognition of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

His selection as a finalist is a testament to both his talent and his willingness to engage with an important and often difficult topic through the power of creative expression.
We are incredibly proud of Z for stepping up and using his voice in such a meaningful way!❤️

St. John’s youth take Madison Square Garden!🏀💫

Thanks to the generosity of You Gotta Believe (YGB) and the New York Knicks’ Garden of Dreams Foundation, youth were treated to a fun-filled night at the Knicks game. They got to view the game from floor and box seats, had amazing food, and took home Knicks-themed gift bags filled with books, basketball keychains, headphones, Knicks caps, and water bottles. We even met former Knicks player, John Wallace, in the stands!

Experiences like these go far beyond a night out; they create lasting memories, deepen supportive connections, and remind youth that they are surrounded by a community that believes in them.💙

The St. John’s leadership team had the opportunity to meet with Will Weeks, Client Partner for Leader in Me at FranklinCovey Education. We discussed how to nurture student leadership, build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills, and support the academic and personal success of youth in our care.

Our conversation centered on how the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, such as being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, and working collaboratively, may enhance the services St. John’s provides.

We’re grateful for this partnership and are inspired by what’s possible when we invest in the leader within every young person.💪

We are incredibly grateful to the friends of Peter and Traci Grande for their generosity and support through a wonderful food drive.🍴❤️

Thanks to their efforts, our staff was able to pack care packages for families, helping them prepare healthy meals for their children during holiday weekends and family visits.

These thoughtful contributions make a real difference; bringing comfort, nourishment, and joy to the families we serve.
