A night of honor and generosity. 🤍

At our 4th Annual USEK Fundraising Gala, we honored Judge Jeanine Pirro and Congressman Rep. Darin LaHood for their commitment to Lebanon and its people, and we were inspired by our keynote speaker, Dr. Joseph G. Jabbra. Thank you to our MC, John Gérard Akouri, for leading the evening.

Thank you to Ray LaHood and the Pirro family for being with us to accept the awards, and to every guest whose generosity during the appeal will help USEK students build their future in Lebanon.

Some stories can only be told by the women who lived them.
This week, New York gets to experience exactly that. The Arab Film and Media Institute presents its 6th annual Arab Women in the Arts showcase, July 29 to August 2, celebrating Lebanese-French filmmaker Danielle Arbid, whose films explore war, memory, and womanhood with a raw honesty that stays with you long after the credits.
Screenings take place across the city, from Anthology Film Archives in Manhattan to Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, with a filmmakers and creators’ mixer during the showcase. Select films also stream online July 30 to August 2.
The Holy Spirit University Foundation is proud to see Lebanese artists honored on screens across New York. These stories deserve these stages, and this community deserves to gather around them.
Come for the films. Stay for the community.
