HPRA mourns the tragic loss of Dominican journalist Yolajne Diaz, a respected fashion and beauty editor whose work helped shape Latino media and entertainment coverage in New York and across the country.

Yolaine built a meaningful career with bylines and editorial work across People en EspaƱol, Us Weekly, Ebony, and NewBeauty en EspaƱol. Her voice reflected style, culture, and pride in Dominican and Latino representation.

Her passing, along with her mother’s, in the Inwood fire in Manhattan is a profound loss for her loved ones, her colleagues, and the Hispanic journalism community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, former colleagues, and all who were touched by her work.

May her memory be a blessing.

The New Influence Playbook brings together creators, talent managers, communications leaders, journalists, and brand marketers for a live conversation on how campaigns are built today. From creator partnerships and audience growth to platform shifts, brand strategy, and independent media, this program looks at the people and ideas changing public relations in real time.
