Congratulations to this year’s recipients of our annual Soar Over Hate Bright Futures scholarship! 👏

It was wonderful reading over all of the submissions and meeting our recipients in person! We were thoroughly impressed with this year’s cohort for outstanding advocacy and essays! Full essays can be read at www.soaroverhate.org! (Link in bio!)

We are proud to have distributed $27,000 in need-based scholarships to Asian American youth in NYC these past few years and thank all of our supporters & volunteers for your help!

Thank you to our judges, Ly Tran & Qian Julie Wang and SOH leadership, Michelle Tran and Howard Chen for another year of their support with this initiative!

last saturday 🩵 we launched our zines ~ ! “Intro to self-defense” “q***r utopia” and “if we’re all made from stars” are all available for free through our 🔗 in bĩo 💞 😎 they’re all great conversation starters: on self-defense/non carceral community safety, solidarity building & on q***r asian dreamz. print them out and share them with friends! 💚

a sweet end to apahm!! on thursday, invited some soar over hate members to celebrate apahm! 💞 looks were served. 🚨plz help share🚨 : this saturday at 6pm-9pm we’re gathering @ to celebrate our month & the release of our trio of zines! Invite a fellow AAPI/ALLY baddie and come vibe w us!!

It’s the third year of our Bright Futures Scholarship, and this year we’re giving out five $2,500 scholarships!

You are eligible if you:
- Are a current 12th grader
- Attend a New York City high school
- Are Asian American Pacific Islander
- Have financial need

Essays will be reviewed by award-winning authors, & . 5 winners will meet the authors over dinner in Chinatown! 🧡
