For many Americans, the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) are obscure parts of Social Security law that they never have to know about.
But for public service workers like us, GPO and WEP are an injustice. For decades, these two policies have cut Social Security benefits for millions of public service retirees and spouses just because they have pensions.
Public service workers paid into Social Security. We deserve to receive our full benefits as everyone else in retirement. If you agree, sign our petition urging Congress to repeal GPO and WEP and protect Social Security for all retirees!

This year, Congress introduced the Social Security Fairness Act, which would fully repeal GPO and WEP. It's gradually gaining bipartisan support, but we need to keep raising our collective voice to make sure Congress hears us. Otherwise, they'll continue to delay this crucial reform, leaving millions of public service workers short-changed in retirement.
