AUDITION NOTICE: ALTERNATIVE THEATRE COMPANY
We are seeking two versatile actors (One Female, One Male) to tackle a series of high-contrast, dynamic roles for our upcoming production of SONDER
If you thrive on range, character-switching, and compelling storytelling, we want to hear from you.
Female Role (Age Range: 20–45)
Requires a dynamic actress capable of playing three distinct characters:
Stephanie: A tough, southern-accented le***an bouncer at a temporary outdoor Manhattan bar during the pandemic. Persistent, unyielding, and completely professional.
Panhandler: A subway panhandler whose polite approach instantly flips to furious indignation if she gets gum instead of cash.
Tour Guide: A professional, informative guide leading a rainy, haunted West Village walking tour with grim historical exposition.
Male Role (Age Range: 18–35)
Requires a versatile actor who effortlessly transitions from bully to romantic prospect:
Priest: A man heading to a morning costume party dressed as a priest. Confronted on a subway platform, he drops the act with defensive profanity and flees.
Milo: A handsome, self-indulgent gym bro born into privilege. A harsh, narcissistic bully who crosses boundaries, leading to a violent subway demise.
Grayson: A cute, polite, nerdy guy in thick glasses and a Yankees cap who confidently approaches Anthony at a party before politely excusing himself.
Flexible rehearsals Monday-Thursday Nights 7-10 PM
