Tonight, we mourn the passing of David Mixner [1946-2024], a luminary in the struggle for + rights and a man of profound tenacity and heart. David's journey from campaigning for John F. Kennedy to his fearless final acts has indelibly shaped the United States, sometimes at great personal cost. My condolences to his family, friends, and the multitude that loved him. May they find solace in the fact that he had at least twenty lives.

Tonight, we mourn the passing of David Benjamin Mixner. From his early days campaigning for John F Kennedy to his final acts of courage, Mixner's legacy shaped a nation at great cost to himself.

While the compiling of Nasdaq Board Diversity Disclosures, presented last week by Prof. Wouter Torsin, has gotten very little coverage, it is the largest and most telling dataset about Corporate Diversity in the U.S. and, more generally, minority economic power.

Women are severely underrepresented (25%), while Black (4.3%) and Latino Directors (2.3%) remain extremely rare in the second-largest stock exchange.

As for + people, with 1.2% of Board seats, they exert very little control on the collective market capitalization of over $23 trillion.

A ground-breaking study provides new data about diversity on the boards of directors of 3,031 companies (representing 2,503 U.S. and 528 foreign firms) listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
