Another reason therapy is often times more effective than talking to peers/friends/ or family. Sometimes people just need you to listen. Not that you are doing so intentionally, but when ppl do this, sometimes it feels as if you are shifting the focus onto you. Sometimes it makes the person and their experience feel minimized. Stay with them, their subject, their feelings. Only self-disclose YOUR relatable experience if truly necessary or if they ask you advice and you feel your experience provides context to the advice you are giving. Most times ppl just need an ear πŸ’š ✨ ✨ LIVING IN FULL TRANSPARENCY πŸ¦‹βœ¨
