What an amazing opportunity to be in the space with Texas A&M Forest Service
Sisters in Fire is a day filled with hands-on interactive experience with skills and equipment used in wildland firefighting while learning about the many careers available in wildfire response and natural resources.
Participants worked in squads, learned alongside women and other professionals working in the field and explored the teamwork, communication and leadership that go into wildland firefighting.

The US Fire Administration reported that only 5% of career firefighters are women.
When you see more, you know you can be more!

The day concluded with a demonstration in a prescribed fire.
