This one's for the people standing beside a grieving parent, not the parent themselves.

Don't try to fix what cannot be fixed. Don't let your own discomfort keep you from showing up. Acknowledge the life that was there. Allow them to grieve — and allow them to be a mother, or a father, exactly as long as they need to be.
