AMERICAN FOUNDATION OF SAVOY ORDERS - The 27th Royal Savoy Ball, the annual winter charity gala hosted by the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, was celebrated on Saturday evening, December 7, 2024 in New York City. The benefit gala was under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Duke of Savoy and Prince of Piedmont and Venice. His cousin, His Royal Highness Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, who serves as the US Delegate of the American Delegation of Savoy Orders, was the Ball Chairman. The royal gala also celebrated the inaugural year of HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoia as Duke of Savoy and Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy. Prior to Saturday's evening Gala, a welcome reception on Friday evening, December 6, was held at the Lotos Club for guests attending the Royal Savoy Ball. At the ball on Saturday, gala attendees enjoyed a champagne reception, hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails before the main program began with a royal fanfare. American Foundation Of Savoy Orders

A Thousand Years of Tradition, A Million Reasons to Contribute The American Foundation of Savoy Orders is a non-profit charity, headquartered in New York City and established in 1993. We provide grants in support of humanitarian, medical, educational and social assistance, including: children's causes, veterans’ programs, disaster relief for earthquake and flood victims and scholarships for college and graduate students in the arts and sciences and international studies. The Savoy Foundation also sponsors and organizes an annual lecture series given by distinguished scholars and masters in their respective fields on topics related to the House of Savoy and the history of Italy, Italian literature, art, music and science. These charitable and humanitarian purposes are in keeping with the centuries old hospitaller traditions of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization, founded in 1572 and stemming from the eleventh century hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem. Contributions to the Foundation and its charitable projects are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
