Lake Anne Elementary PTA creates a sense of togetherness in our school community LAES PTA supports students by paying for buses for field trips, organizing and funding enrichment activities like assemblies and the Dolphin Art
program, and organizing after-school programs. LAES PTA supports the teachers and staff by funding teacher grants, collecting donations for monthly snack attacks, and funding and organizing teacher appreciation events throughout the school year. The PTA supports the larger community by organizing community events (movie nights, a yard sale, game nights, a dance, and more), and providing support as needed (collecting $10,000 in grocery store gift cards in 2020, collecting more than 700 pounds in food donations in 2021). The PTA also funds special projects as needed, including paying for technology for students, providing funds for diversifying classroom libraries, and, soon, funding and organizing an art installation. Lake Anne Elementary PTA is committed to making every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. We are fortunate to have many volunteers who help us in a wide variety of ways. Our volunteers take on a wide variety of tasks from donating an hour of time selling concessions at an event, to introducing and organizing a community event, to making a year-long commitment to serving on our executive board. LAES PTA raises money through membership fees, an annual fundraiser, profits for community events, cooperate partnerships, and direct donations. LAES PTA works in close partnership with the Lake Anne Elementary administration, teachers, and staff.
