The Delivery Protection Act will end Amazon’s dirty subcontracting scheme, which allows the company to hide behind fake third parties called “Delivery Service Providers” so they aren’t held accountable for their worker abuses. The bill will also provide more health and safety measures and job protections.

Mayor Mamdani formally backed the bill alongside majority of the City Council. No more delays on the Delivery Protection Act!

On Amazon , we stand in solidarity with Amazon drivers in Woodside, Queens who marched on the boss to announce they are unionizing with New York’s Teamsters Local 804!

As the company makes billions, Amazon warehouse workers and drivers around the country are organizing together to demand their fair share and safe working conditions.

Community members are joining in solidarity to demand Amazon to STOP its unfair labor practices and begin bargaining with thousands of workers across the country who are fighting for dignity and safety in the workplace.

2,160 citations for speeding in school zones.

2,366 citations for running red lights.

With the Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and majority of the City Council backing the Delivery Protection Act, we’re calling on Speaker Julie Menin to put this bill to the vote to ensure that we can hold Amazon accountable for hurting workers and causing havoc on our streets.

Amazon delivers danger.

In our new report, we show five years of parking, traffic-camera, and idling enforcement data in Amazon’s delivery network reveal a citywide safety crisis.

From 2020 through 2025, Amazon-vehicles amassed 14,210 citations, including 2,160 citations for speeding in school zones, 2,051 for blocking fire hydrants, and 2,366 citations for running red lights, obstructing traffic, and blocking intersections

A race to execute faster deliveries for cheaper puts immense pressure and stress on workers across the logistics industry, which in turn leads to dangerous conditions for workers themselves and the general public. These conditions produce high turnover rates and put less experienced delivery drivers on the road, further increasing risks of injuries and accidents.

We can’t just ticket our way out of this problem. NYC must address the root cause of this street safety crisis: Amazon has little incentive to improve delivery safety for workers and the public as long as they can deflect responsibility through subcontracting arrangements.

The NYC Council must pass the Delivery Protection Act to tackle these problems with common-sense solutions. If passed, it would require last-mile delivery warehouses to obtain a license from the city and directly employ workers over whom they exercise control.

Our new op-ed: Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani’s ‘Pothole Politics’ should mean fixing our schools.

Our schools are falling apart and our kids are falling behind.

Mamdani’s pothole politics means showing New Yorkers how municipal government can work for them, building trust by making our public services run smoothly.

But it’s time for pothole politics to mean more than patching a hole here and a hole there. It’s time to fix our schools.
