The wage is too damn low.

New York City workers are calling for a $30 minimum wage by 2030 so they can get their fair share and live a dignified life.

Today the Raise Up NY coalition talked to NYC Council members about raising NYC’s minimum wage to $30 by 2030!

Thank you for productive conversations on how we can tackle the affordability crisis in New York City.

Too many New Yorkers are struggling to get by. We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage and ensure that our city is truly great for all New Yorkers.

Governor Hochul: Don’t Pull a Trump. Protect Our Climate Law!

We launched ads in defense of the state’s Climate Law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), as New York State budget negotiations continue and the law’s fate remains unclear.

Our Climate Law was fought for and won by workers and communities on the front lines of our climate crisis as a matter of life and death — not a line item, not a bargaining chip.

Clean energy costs us far less, and protecting the CLCPA is the only path to a healthy, safe, affordable future for all of us.

Today we rallied for the Delivery Protection Act! Amazon is getting rich off the backs of delivery workers. Workers are clocking into every shift knowing they are in danger — driving trucks that are falling apart, racing to meet speed quotas or face retaliation. When workers aren’t safe, New Yorkers aren’t safe. It’s time for Amazon to take responsibility. It’s time to pass the Delivery Protection Act!

We’re rallying to pass the Delivery Protection Act! Amazon workers deserve safe, just work. Workers, unions, community, and elected champions are rallying at City Hall Park ahead of the City Council’s hearing on the Delivery Protection Act.

Amazon drivers are endangered by their own delivery trucks.

It’s obvious how much Amazon cares about their drivers by the state of their vehicles: broken doors and panels, missing lug nuts on wheels, haphazard fixes, often with the same tape workers use to secure cardboard boxes.

It’s no surprise that Amazon has more labor law violations than any other company in New York City. However, Amazon won’t even call Amazon drivers their employees, instead setting up fake subcontractors to dodge any responsibility for the danger they pose for their drivers or our communities.

We need the NYC Council to take action. Not only is Amazon endangering their own workers, they are hurting our communities as well – all while skirting accountability. With the dramatic rise in package deliveries in NYC, “Last Mile” facilities are fueling more crashes, congestion, and pollution. Truck-related crashes increased more than doubled in the areas around these facilities. This is a public health and safety crisis.

We’re calling for the passage of the Delivery Protection Act so we can hold abusive delivery companies like Amazon accountable, protect workers, and increase street safety.

Dear , New Yorkers want Green Healthy Schools!

Students, parents, and teachers are delivering postcards every day in April (Earth Month!) calling on Mayor Mamdani to invest in Green Healthy Schools!

Our public school buildings are in dire condition - many of them are at least 75 years old. We’re calling on the next NYC Mayor to invest in green upgrades for NYC public schools. We can lead the nation and create thousands of green union jobs, improve student performance, and deliver thriving communities, because students, teachers, and school workers deserve schools where they can work and learn safely.

NO KINGS! NO ICE! NO WARS!

We joined over 350,000 New Yorkers at the historic No Kings march to send a clear message that we won’t let oligarchs determine our future.

We are proud to march with and to show that workers are coming together and building the people power needed to defeat the corporate take over of our country. With millions taking action across the country, we showed that this movement is growing stronger every day.

🌳Common Ground Conference 2026!

ALIGN held the very first Common Ground Conference to strengthen our partnerships between labor and community organizations. Over 50 community, Environmental Justice, labor, and workforce development organizations came together to discuss building collaborative partnerships for a green, affordable future.

For decades, workers and communities have been joining forces to strengthen the alliance between labor and climate movements. Together, we have won groundbreaking climate and jobs policies that create green career jobs, lower energy costs, and foster healthier communities.

At the conference, we held panels and talks on issues related to Environmental Justice, labor, and worker development. We raised key success stories in building labor and climate partnerships, including the Transform Don’t Trash coalition. We also held thoughtful and open discussions on how labor and climate organizations can overcome challenges in building cross movement partnerships.

We want to share a special thanks to for being great hosts for our event!

As the climate crisis worsens and the billionaire class continues to abuse its power, building the labor and climate alliance is a strategic necessity to achieve a clean energy transition that lifts up all workers and protects our communities.
As the federal administration continues its attack on clean energy, real progress will be made at the local level. To do it right, we need to work together to advance our shared interests: workplaces where we are treated with respect, communities that are sustainable and resilient, and a New York that is affordable, safe, and healthy for all.

New Yorkers are ready for a $30 minimum wage.

Costs are up and wages are down, pushing New Yorkers out of our city.

Earning the minimum wage shouldn’t mean living in poverty, but working people are struggling to afford rent, groceries, and life in NYC while wealthy corporations make record profits.

It’s time to fight for our fair share and deliver a wage New Yorkers deserve: $30 for Our City.

One in four New Yorkers are in poverty in the richest city in the world.

Too many New Yorkers are having to choose between paying rent, buying groceries, or going to the doctor.

This is not only a policy failure but a moral travesty.

One solution is to gradually raise the minimum wage to $30 by 2030 so New Yorkers can live with dignity and stability.

We’re fighting for a wage New Yorkers deserve.

Today, our Raise Up NY coalition launched a historic campaign to fight for a $30 minimum wage in New York City.

New York City’s $17 minimum wage is too low. Earning the minimum wage shouldn’t mean living in poverty, but working people are struggling to afford rent, groceries, and life in NYC.

New Yorkers work hard for their wage. But most of the profits are going to the top 1%, and not those who actually do the work. It’s time we get our fair share.

A decade ago, fast-food workers in New York led the way when they walked out of their jobs demanding a $15 minimum wage and a union–a demand that would spread nationwide and become the movement known as the Fight for $15. Today, our Raise Up NY coalition, made up of community organizations, labor unions, and worker centers, is continuing the fight for a dignified wage.

Raising the minimum wage will strengthen our city’s economy as more money goes into workers’ paychecks and more New Yorkers can make ends meet and afford to buy what local businesses are selling.

Mayor Mamdani supported raising the minimum wage to $30 by 2030 in his campaign affordability agenda, and voters turned out in historic numbers to elect him. Raising the minimum wage is a popular policy. Now, it’s time to deliver.
