Celebrating Steve Reich’s 90th birthday on 3 October with Mivos Quartet’s recording of 'The String Quartets'. From the voices and memories of 'Different Trains' and 'WTC 9/11' to the interlocking rhythms of 'Triple Quartet', music that keeps revealing something new with every listen. A huge happy 90th birthday to Steve Reich!!

We are honored to have worked closely with him over the last years on his complete string quartets. To be able to go deeper into these three incredible pieces with Steve has taught us so much about the history and power that they possess. We are so lucky to be able to perform and have this music be a part of our lives. Thank you Steve!!

We’ve had a blast performing the quartets around the world and sharing his music! Most recently at Eastman School of Music and in Bogotá, Colombia and we can’t wait to continue the party over the coming months in Prague Prague Sounds 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐹𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑎𝑙. , Frankfurt NAXOS Hallenkonzerte , Singapore Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music , and more!

GAUDEAMUS AWARD NOMINEE JOURNEYS #1: Rodrigo Pascale

During Gaudeamus Festival 2026, Rogier Boogaard closely followed the 4 nominees for the Gaudeamus Award, as they went from rehearsals to performances, getting to know the city, the jury members and each other. Resulting in an intimate portrait in 5 parts of an important chapter in the career of 4 young composers.

Today we focus on the Brazilian composer Rodrigo Pascale rodrigo pascale who worked with lovemusic Mivos Quartet and Charlotte Mundy during the festival.
