🚨ATTENTION LOCAL 157 MEMBERS: Ballots are beginning to arrive in the mail today! Keep an eye out for yours, and message us if you’re expecting one and don’t get it.🚨

Remember to vote the Rank & File slate. 100% on-the-tools carpenters who have a history of fighting and refusing contract concessions, and a history of fighting for members on the job. Let us know if you’d like to talk about it.

To be absolutely clear:
Black Lives Matter.
As president of local 157, I can speak for the local when I say Black Lives Matter.
As incumbent in an election, I can speak for our slate when I say Black Lives Matter.
Because they do.
It's that simple.
I'm proud of the diversity of our union.
The Labor Movement and the Civil Rights Movement are inextricably bound together.
I can say without equivocation Black Lives Matter, can you?
Levi Messinetti, Local 157 President

I've posted some specific reasons why it's important to vote Rank & File. My messages are easy to find by scrolling this page or visiting our website.

What reasons do our opponents give in their favor? Experience.

I'm the current President, former Recording Secretary,Trustee, and Delegate. Always elected, never appointed. That's experience.

Gerry is the current VP, former pro tem President,Conductor, and Delegate. That's experience.

Laura is a current Trustee, and former Delegate, the first woman ever elected to our executive board. No small achievement. That's experience.

Shane M is the current Conductor and former Delegate chosen for his dedication, knowledge, and sacrifice for this local. That's experience.

Sam and James have both been elected as District Council Trustees and 157 Delegates. That's experience.

Fourteen of us have been 157 Delegates. Not the kind of delegates who rubber stamp every recommendation from the Chair, but kind of delegates who have the courage to be in opposition even when it's unpopular. It takes real backbone to be the kind of delegate that stands up for their beliefs in the face of the majority and the scorn of the powerful. That's the type of leadership experience that counts the most.

Yes, our opponents have some experience. Not as much as we do, but some.

If you believe in a member driven union vote Rank & File Slate. Vote the whole slate. Send a message
