On June 4 and 12, 2025, the Lisa Goldstein Education Foundation (LGEF) awarded eight scholarships ($500 each) to West Windsor-Plainsboro high school seniors (out of the 21 applications received) who will be pursuing their college studies in early reading education, elementary education, special sducation, mathematics and/or science.

The recipients of the fifth annual LGEF scholarships are:

Tickets on sale starting October 1 for the 9th Annual Nassau International Film Festival (NFF) on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the AMC MarketFair in Princeton. NFF is rated as the #1 comprehensive short film festival in NJ. For tickets and more info:

Filmmakers:

Submission Deadlines:
October 1 - regular deadline
October 15 - late and final deadline
All short films (fiction, documentary, horror, animation and/or student films) must be under 20 minutes.

The Nassau Film Festival gives an opportunity for new and current filmmakers to have their short films screened. All genres and styles of films will be considered. A Best of Festival Award will be given in the student and non-student categories.

As we get ready to commemorate the third year of losing Lisa way too early on April 20, we are also looking to award the fourth year of scholarships in her name to high school seniors in West Windsor - Plainsboro North and West Windsor-Plainsboro South high schools this June. Criteria and applications will be distributed by the guidance department at these two schools in the Spring. We encourage high school seniors at these two schools who are interested in studying education, math and/or science in college to apply for the $1000 and $500 scholarships.

We also encourage you to continue to make tax deductible contributions payable to the Lisa Goldstein Education Foundation and mail them to Lew Goldstein c/o LGEF 21 Bradford Lane Plainsboro NJ 08536.
