🔎𝐖𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 “𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭?
Latin America and the Caribbean are more connected than ever before, yet most philanthropic efforts remain fragmented, short-term, and transactional.
When crisis hits, we mobilize. But what about the rest of the time?
Philanthropy in the region often stops at coordination. Real impact demands more: 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, grounded in shared power, co-created purpose, and long-term trust.
🧩No single actor can solve the region’s most urgent challenges alone. But together, through meaningful, well-governed partnerships, we can unlock scale, sustainability, and systemic change.
𝐀𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, we believe collaboration must go beyond roundtables and joint press releases. It must become an infrastructure: funded, managed, and nurtured, just like any other serious investment. From Peru’s ALAC to Brazil’s Gestão da Alfabetização, the proof is there: When organizations 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, not just the project, collaboration becomes transformative.
This is the first of five shifts we explore in our report with Dalberg, supported by The Rockefeller Foundation.
𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 #𝟏: 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥. It’s not about doing more together. It’s about doing it differently.
