🚨 EMERGENCY RALLY: NO ICE IN NEWBURGH 🚨

The Department of Homeland Security is proposing an ICE detention warehouse facility at the Newburgh Commerce Park, off Route 17K, across from Stewart International Airport. We cannot allow another detention center to take root in our communities.

Join the Democratic & Working Families Party, Indivisible, NYIC, Fuerza Newburgh, Immigrant Solidarity Table Newburgh, Dignity Not Detention, and coalition partners as we stand together in opposition to this proposal.

🙌🏽 VICTORY 🙌🏽

Years of organizing by immigrant communities across New York State have delivered a historic budget win: an end to 287g immigration detention contracts in New York. This belongs to every person who testified while living in fear, who organized from inside detention, who refused to let New York profit from their incarceration.

This is what years of organizing looks like and the work is not done. Informal collusion between local law enforcement and ICE remains. New York for All must follow.

We celebrate today. Tomorrow, we keep fighting, until every pathway to deportation is closed, and every person is free.

Protect our people! Protect our children! 19-year-old Royer Perez Jimenez was terrified when he died in ICE custody. Every day ICE maintains violence in New York State, we remain complicit in the violence they inflict. We want NOW!

Teachers should be focused on helping students learn—not comforting children terrified that a parent may not come home because of ICE detention. Students should be focused on homework, friendships, and their futures—not carrying the weight of family separation.

Passing the Dignity Not Detention Act would help end New York’s role in ICE detention and protect families from this harm.
