In honor of International Women's Day, we were thrilled to co-host a screening of 𝘕𝘈𝘞𝘐: 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘦 in Boston alongside Nurturing Minds, Inc., Maranyundo Initiative, and Girls Education Collaborative. We were especially moved to be joined virtually by two of the film's directors, Vallentine Chelluget and Kevin Schmutzle, whose voices brought even deeper meaning to the evening.
Nawi's story is a powerful reminder of what's at stake when girls are denied the right to choose their own path, and what becomes possible when they're given the tools to fight for it! The film shines a light on the realities of child marriage and the transformative power of education.
