Motivation Monday:
During this covid 19 pandemic my team and I decided that we wanted to help out the community in anyway way we could. So we decided to conduct a fundraiser to give back to help out a bit.
In times like this we all should reach out and help someone no matter how big or small it may be it matters. The change begin with us!!!

I want to take the time out to Congratulate my Newest Future Sailor on joining the Navy today . Although, she took almost a year to decide if this was something she actually wanted to do lol. I am extremely proud of her she is only 20 years old already and have a BA degree. Today she signed a contract to be a hospital corpsman in the Navy but Iโ€™m sure that within 3 maybe 4 years she will become a Navy Nurse. Congratulations agree Future Sailor ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰!!!

I'm always happy to see when my people win , this is the best part of my job. So congratulations my Sailor on graduating and earning this Recruit Honor Ribbon which is a very big deal because you can only get this one time in your career!!! A lot of people are scared of the unknown or think they wonโ€™t be able to pass boot camp. But if you want to be successful in life you just have to make your mind up and just do it!!!

Smiling because I have officially been accepted into the Naval Academy Preparatory School to pursue my prospective Naval Officer career!

This acceptance is a true example of resiliency. When I was a Senior in high school, I was denied from the United States Naval Academy, my dream school. โ€ข
At first it was really difficult for me to transition with my goals. What next? Well, thankfully I had a great mentor; my father. He hinted at enlisting before Commissioning to not only gain legitimate fleet experience, but also because adaptability is a key trait an Officer must overcome when things donโ€™t go as planned.

Now, I am thankful for that denial. Not initially making into the USNA, didnโ€™t define my future. Instead, I utilized these past 2 years as an enlisted Sailor to exceed standards and continually grow both personally & professionally. I am proud to say that these efforts finally have paid off.

I am extremely excited to start this new adventure (minus the 5 years of schooling part lol) and I am incredibly thankful I have all of you to follow along w/ me! ๐Ÿ’› Now if you excuse me, this born n raised SoCal girl thatโ€™s been living in Hawaii for the past 18 months has to figure out how to not freeze to death on the east coast (โ€˜:
