Through our Food Drive, we were able to meet our mission to provide access to healthy food to those facing food insecurity. We supported over 400 in the public housing community.

As a child of Mexican immigrants seeking a better life, I want to make my parents proud and repay them for everything they have done for me. As the oldest out of five children, it is my duty to be a role model and example for my younger siblings.

Through this job shadowing opportunity, I am confident that I would learn things that I otherwise would not encounter in school. It is a hands-on experience that I would not be able to have anywhere else.

I’m a 19-year-old first generation American. In the 9th grade I had to take on two extra jobs just to keep my family afloat. From that day forward I told myself I’ll do whatever it takes to be successful. I am interested in the job shadowing program because you cannot learn everything from a book. This opportunity will give me the chance of a lifetime to observe and to gain insight and a better understanding of office work and culture.
