I'm Bella. I was born with Triple X syndrome, which damaged my kidneys. See the link below to help! My kidneys are working at about 50%.

I was born with Triple X syndrome, which caused damage to my kidneys. I lived in the hospital for almost the first three years of my life. When I finally went home a month later, I got sick and had to return to the hospital for six months. I was on dialysis, but my doctors had to stop it because I was losing too much weight. My parents have been keeping me on a healthy diet and taking my medicatio

ns daily. Thankfully, all the extra love and hugs from my family keep me so happy that I feel like a super Pony! I love going to school to see my teachers and friends. My school has been great at giving me extra help to keep up with my classmates. But I sometimes get anxious at school; my teachers have helped me understand it's ok to make mistakes. What is most important is not to give up and keep trying.

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you all an update on my kidney transplant journey. First, I want to thank you for all the love, prayers, and support. I am so grateful to everyone who has turned out to help me! I could never thank you enough, so here’s one of the many updates I’ll be sharing. I hope you enjoy reading and seeing cute pictures as much as I do.

On July 13, 2023, I went to NYP Weill Cornell for my kidney transplant. It was both scary and exciting at the same time. To be honest, I was more scared than anything else, but I had my best friend, Elephant, and my Dad, who is also my best buddy, with me. The surgery lasted a few hours, and I stayed in the hospital for a few days. There were some complications, but my Dad can explain those better than I can. Hehe 😍

From Bella's Dad ➡️ I am thrilled to share some incredible news with you that I couldn't wait to convey. After an arduous journey, Bella successfully underwent a kidney transplant on July 13th, 2023, and I am delighted to inform you that even with a few bumps in the road after her surgery, it has been a resounding success!

The process leading up to this moment has been challenging and hopeful. As you may recall, Bella's health had been compromised due to renal failure, and she was in dire need of a kidney transplant to regain her quality of life. The wait for a suitable donor seemed endless, but fate smiled upon Bella, and a compatible donor was finally found.

I cannot express the depth of gratitude I feel towards my incredible medical team at and , who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the transplant. Their expertise, compassion, and unwavering dedication have played an instrumental role in this life-changing event.

Since the transplant, Bella has been making steady positive progress in her recovery. I can see the positive effects of her new kidney, as her energy levels have increased, and many of the symptoms she endured before are gradually fading away. This newfound lease on life is a precious gift, and we are determined to make the most of it.

We wanted to share this news with you because you have been a source of unwavering support throughout Bella's journey. Your encouragement, kind words, prayers, and unwavering belief in her resilience have meant the world to us. Your presence has provided solace during the difficult times, and we are forever grateful for your steadfast support.

Bella has bravely faced hospital stays, surgeries, dialysis, and treatments to support her kidney function. While her condition was manageable with medication, it has recently worsened. She has a long way to go but this Queen 👑 is ready to power on. Let's come together to support Bella on her journey to find a kidney and give her a chance at a healthier future.

This can cause differences in how they grow and develop, but with support and understanding, they can still lead happy and fulfilling lives.
