Literary Arts Preservation and New Directions Network, commonly called "L.A.P.L..A.N.D." NETWORK focuses on the Iowa area long known as "LAPLAND", where Missouri laps over into Iowa. This 501(c)(3) non-profit operating foundation, focuses on economic, cultural and educational development in the area. Director and Administrator Marta J Day maintains the organization records and communications t

hrough her office. L.A.P.L.A.N.D. NETWORK seeks to preserve and enhance life in the area through cooperation, coordination, identifying and addressing unfilled "niches" and expansion of participation and efforts without duplication . This mission is broad enough to include preservation of buildings or artifacts, artisan skills, handcrafts, games, literature, documents, stories, music and instruments, food growth, preparation and preserving, community life and events, the country school value and experience and knowledge of times past, This mission also includes developing ways to involve, inform, and include the public in demonstrations, exhibits, exhibitions, classes, workshops, event participation, and experiencing an earlier time, such as the country schools role in the community, PIE SUPPERS and more!!!!! A current project is the restoration of the 'LITTLE RED SCHOOL HOUSE" LINEVILLE, IOWA. Built in 1881 and on the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES, REFERENCE NUMBER 75000701 IOWA PLEASANT HILL SCHOOL LISTED MAY 28, 1975. Social media makes it so easy for people near and far with interest to participate with positive comments, suggestions, ideas, stories, memories, dreams etc. At the moment FACEBOOK, e mail snail mail, and phone are the avenues. Later, Instagram, a website and possible other methods may be involved. Video conferencing, Zoom or similar methods are possible. Funds for endeavors and projects are made possible through generous contributions and donations from the public, private sectors and grants. Postings of Events and Fund Raisers outside of L.A.P.L.A.N.D.NETWORK will be approved on a case by case basis and the final approval by the Administrator of this page.

Anyone know where can get an old barn sash window WOOD-- 4 panes glass--local lumber yard said can only get VINYL

Inside 23 1/2 " wide 29 " Tall pictures of old one, location and pics of the East and South sides NOW NEWLY REPAINTED RED!!!!
