The York New Salem Lions Club sends its sincere condolences to all involved in the incident in our local community today. We thank all law enforcement officers and first responders for the sacrifices they make for our communities. Please know you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.

The York New Salem Lions are saddened to announce the passing of two of their dedicated members over the last two weeks. Dave Wakeland was one of our oldest members and was instrumental in helping with the York Fair Parking. Dick Fuhrman was a charter member who assisted with our Street Rod parking and remained active despite his health issues. These Lions will be missed but the community is a better place because of them!

Thank you all for a successful first half of the York State Fair! We hope to see you at the parking lot throughout the next five days. A special thanks goes out to our treasurer, Marlin for all of his hard work and dedication to the fair parking!!

Come see us at the York State Fair! We are located right outside of gate #8 and off of Highland Ave, which is easy walking distance to the walk in gate! Parking is $8 and we open when the fair does and are there until full!

The York New Salem Lions Club is actively seeking new members! The harsh reality of the times we live in is that those in our organization are aging out and younger members are not stepping up to replace them. You can be that support that helps contribute to the community involvement listed below!

The Lions Club was established in 1917 as a way to better local communities and ultimately, communities across the globe. Helen Keller approached early leaders and encouraged them to become "stewards of the blind" and the groups mission was further established.

The York New Salem Lions was established in 1977 by a group of individuals who wanted to help better the community and support local families. Without new members, our club has been forced to scale back activities and has been having difficulty continuing to support our community. If you have any interest in joining our mission or hearing what we are about, please reach out to us! We want to continue to serve our community and we need your support to do so!

What we do:
Easter Egg Hunt
Halloween candy distribution
Donations to local organizations
Assistance to families affected by blindness
Donations to local, state, federal, and international disasters
Flower Sales
Chicken BBQ's
Spring Grove School District Scholarships
Collaboration with local Lions on service projects

The York New Salem Lions were proud to be a part of the Spring Grove High School Scholarship Awards Banquet. We would like to extend our congratulations to all recipients. A special congratulations goes to Alyssa for being the recipient of the York New Salem Lions Scholarship. Best of luck as you begin this next chapter!

Thank you to our wonderful community for another successful egg hunt and flower sale. A special thanks to Twin Pines Country Market for allowing us to set up our tent again this year and to the Easter bunny for making an appearance at the egg hunt!
