HELP REQUEST: MISSING PERSON

We received a message from Pastor Shaun Higgins of Midway Community Covenant Church regarding his brother, Maurice, who is missing in the Tampa Bay area. Maurice was last seen at an outreach facility near the detention center in Clearwater. However, he is a Tampa native so the family thinks he may have migrated back closer to home. With Pastor Higgins's permission, we are sharing this message hoping someone may have information. Thank you in advance for your help locating Maurice. Please share with others.

"My name is Shaun Higgins, and I am a pastor with the Covenant Evangelical church in Washington state. I am reaching out on behalf of my family with deep appreciation for the compassionate work your team does every day. We are humbly asking for your help in locating my younger brother, James Maurice Smith, who also goes by Maurice or Mo. James is an African American male born on March 5, 1984. He has gone missing, and we believe he may currently be living unhoused or staying in areas where homeless outreach teams may encounter him.
James suffers from mental illness and is believed to be off his medication. Our family is extremely worried about his safety and well-being. We would be truly grateful if your agency, outreach workers, shelter staff, case managers, and volunteers could keep an eye out for him and contact us with any information that may help us confirm his location and ensure that he is safe. If your team has seen James, spoken with him, received information about him, or is able to share this request with outreach partners, we would be sincerely thankful. Please contact me as soon as possible at:

Gratefully Appreciated,
Shaun Higgins"

Jennifer is HOME 🏠💙

After experiencing homelessness, she now has a safe place to rest, a door to close at night, and a home of her own. This is what can happen when a community comes together to serve our neighbors with compassion and action.

There are still so many more neighbors who need help. Please consider donating on our website.
