💜 September is Su***de Prevention Month

September is a time to pause, remember, educate ourselves, and—most importantly—take action.

In 2024, Pasco County recorded 106 deaths by su***de.

Behind every number was a person who mattered. And behind every person were family members, friends, coworkers and communities left to navigate the devastating impact of su***de loss.

At the Bobby White Foundation, Inc., we believe su***de prevention is more than recognizing a crisis. It is about creating communities where people feel seen, heard, supported and safe enough to ask for help.

Our mission was born from loss.

Bobby's death changed our family forever, but it also became the reason we continue working to bring HOPE to others.

Through su***de prevention education, mental wellness awareness, HOPE Support, grief support for survivors of su***de loss, community outreach and our HOPE In The Light Of Su***de show, we are working to turn awareness into action and loss into purpose.

And every one of us can play a part.

💜 Check on someone you care about.
💜 Ask the question—and really listen to the answer.
💜 Learn the warning signs.
💜 Talk openly about mental health and su***de.
💜 Encourage someone to seek professional support.
💜 Be there for those grieving a su***de loss.
💜 Help create a community where asking for help is met with compassion, not judgment.

You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes simply being present can make a difference.

There are resources available, including NAMI and other local and national organizations. And 988 is available 24/7 by call or text for anyone experiencing a mental health or su***de crisis, or for those concerned about someone they love.

💜 Art for Hope — September 10

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we will gather for our 9th Annual Art for Hope.

Art for Hope brings together art, community, conversation and HOPE while supporting the ongoing work of the Bobby White Foundation.

Because we believe that beautiful things can grow from painful places.

We cannot change the past.

But together, we can change what happens next.

For those we have lost.
For those who are struggling.
For those who are grieving.
For those who need to know they are not alone.

Let's talk. Let's listen. Let's reach out. Let's choose HOPE.

💜 Hope begins with a conversation.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 for support.

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Precision Surveying & Mapping, Inc.! 💙

Some partnerships are more than sponsorships—they are part of the story.

We are incredibly grateful to Precision Surveying & Mapping, Inc. for being a Da Vinci Sponsor of our 9th Annual Art for Hope—and for supporting Art for Hope every year since the very first event.

This sponsorship holds a very special place in my heart. Bobby was a surveyor and worked with Precision Surveying & Mapping for many years. Their continued support is not only helping us carry forward the mission of the Bobby White Foundation, but also honoring a part of Bobby's life and the people who were part of his journey.

Thank you for standing beside us year after year, for believing in this mission, and for helping us continue to bring hope, awareness, and support to those impacted by su***de.

💙 Thank you for helping us turn art into hope—and keeping Bobby's legacy of caring for others alive.

Pasco Sheriff's Office is sharing a list of community-based resources. It's estimated that around 80% of our calls for service have a mental health component, and often a barrier to seeking help is not knowing where to start. This list provides information for providers right in our backyard. Check it out here: https://www.PascoSheriff.com/MentalHealth-html/

🎨 Featured Artwork at Art for Hope 2026

There is something especially meaningful about artwork that not only captures a beautiful moment but also becomes part of an artist's lasting legacy.

We're honored to feature Royal Family, a beautiful limited edition print by beloved Florida artist Neil Adamson, at this year's 9th Annual Art for Hope.

Neil had a remarkable gift for capturing Florida's natural beauty. In Royal Family, a pair of Royal Terns quietly watches over their nest along our sandy coastline—a gentle reminder of love, protection, and the beauty found in everyday moments.

Although Neil passed away in 2022, his artwork continues to inspire collectors and nature lovers alike. We are proud to offer a collection of his limited edition prints, each celebrating the unique landscapes and wildlife that make Florida so special.

Every artwork purchased at Art for Hope helps support the mission of the Bobby White Foundation, Inc., providing su***de prevention awareness, education, support, and hope throughout our community.
