Students from any discipline, major and background who have a passion for international affairs and a commitment to diplomacy as a means of resolving global disputes are encouraged to participate. The mission of the University of New Orleans Model United Nations Club is to familiarize individuals regarding the political, economic, social and cultural aspects of the United Nations. Our goal is to p
repare individuals so that they may become productive and contributing global citizens, develop diplomatic communication skills, and increase their understanding of cultural differences within the University of New Orleans community, the New Orleans metropolitan area and the world. The primary focus of the club is centered around the National Model United Nations Conference in New York City each spring. All members are invited to apply to become a "delegate" and compete for UNO in this international, academic exercise. www.nmun.org
