UNO Model United Nations Club The University of New Orleans MUN Club looks to familiarize individuals regarding the political, economic, social & cultural aspects of the United Nations.

Students from any discipline, major and background who have a passion for international affairs and a commitment to diplomacy as a means of resolving global disputes are encouraged to participate. The mission of the University of New Orleans Model United Nations Club is to familiarize individuals regarding the political, economic, social and cultural aspects of the United Nations. Our goal is to prepare individuals so that they may become productive and contributing global citizens, develop diplomatic communication skills, and increase their understanding of cultural differences within the University of New Orleans community, the New Orleans metropolitan area and the world. The primary focus of the club is centered around the National Model United Nations Conference in New York City each spring. All members are invited to apply to become a "delegate" and compete for UNO in this international, academic exercise. www.nmun.org

We would like to give a huge congratulations to two of our fellow officers who recently graduated! Aniyah graduated with her masters degree in business administration and Daniela with a bachelor’s degree in international studies, with a concentration in international organizations and diplomacy! We are so thankful for all of the work and effort you have put into the club, and we wish you luck on your future endeavors!🤍💙

The delegation had an incredible week in New York at the 2026 National Model UN Conference! 🗽🇺🇳 Countless hours of dedication and commitment were put into preparation for the conference. The team brought home an Honorable Mention Award which is the equivalent of a bronze medal, along with one of our delegates earning a position paper award! Out of hundreds of schools, only a few dozen are recognized at NMUN, and we stood proudly alongside schools from across the region and nation. This hardworking team continues to give their best and strive to be outstanding representatives of UNO. And we can’t sign off without saying thank you once more to our donors, supporters, and staff/faculty who always show up for us, and a huge thanks for everyone who attended our welcome back party!

On to the next, NMUN 2027! 💙🗽
