When tiny babies are discovered, the first instinct is often, “Can a rescue take them right now?” Unfortunately, rescues and shelters are frequently operating at maximum capacity, and available fosters can be hard to find.
That’s why we sometimes ask for a temporary “Foster-in-Place” mission. The finders become the kittens’ caretakers, providing food, safety, and love while our crew helps with medical care, spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchips before the kittens are cleared for adoption.
Most people aren’t able to take on that mission.
But these amazing ladies said YES.
Not only did they open their homes to these little beings, they also helped us address the source of the problem. With the assistance of a volunteer trapper, the neighborhood’s feral cats were trapped, fixed, and returned—helping prevent future kitten landings.
After weeks of love, care, and socialization, these former neighborhood castaways have officially docked at our Adoption Center and are now searching for forever homes.
A huge thank you to these wonderful humans for stepping up when these tiny UFOs needed them most. Rescue works best when a community comes together. 💙🛸🐾
