🎨 St. Bernard Art Guild Monthly Meeting 🎨

At last Thursday’s monthly meeting, we enjoyed an informative, hands-on demonstration of silk screen printing led by Jeanie Bacon!

Did you know that silk screen printing is one of the oldest forms of printmaking? We had the opportunity to learn this unique technique and put our new skills to work creating our own silk-screened paintings. From drawing our designs onto the fabric to tracing them with glue and painting within the outlined areas, we experienced each step of the creative process. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we ended up with some beautiful and unique works of art! 🖌️🎨

A big THANK YOU to Jeanie for sharing her knowledge, time, and talent with us. We truly appreciate the opportunity to learn something new and explore another form of artistic expression!

❤️ We love bringing artists together to learn, create, and inspire one another!

Rain or shine, the blues play on! 🎷

We're keeping an eye on the forecast, and here's our official weather report: Blues, Brews, & BBQ is happening NO MATTER WHAT. ☀️🌧️

Our annual event benefitting the Community Center of St. Bernard is still on for Saturday, October 03, 2026 at Docville Farm, starting at 12:00 pm. That means live blues, cold brews, and BBQ worth getting a little messy for, all while supporting the neighbors and families we serve every day.

A little rain never stopped a good time in St. Bernard Parish. Grab your umbrella (or your sunglasses, we're optimists), bring your friends, and come hungry!

We also have limited edition Blues Brews hats to keep your head dry 🤣🎶
